Kristina + Tri

It’s been a pretty amazing few months.  I’ve been busy running all over the Bay Area photographing fantastic couples in fantastic locations.  Of late (it must be the spring weather) everyone seems to bringing the dogs along, which I love. They add a certain zest of unpredictability to the session, and even when things are not going to plan, all you have to do is take a gander at man’s best friend to see that not all is lost.  Anything from an ill-timed scratch to a complete spaz-out will bring things back into perspective.  Maybe that’s why people with dogs are cool?  Because they can deal with the unplanned and keep on rolling.

Here are a few pics from the day.  Hope you enjoy!

Leslie + Dennis

Leslie and Dennis married on a gorgeous March afternoon.  With all the rain we’ve had, they managed to find a whole lot of sunshine for their special day. Good thing too, since we cruised around to some different spots and snagged photos along the way.

I must also mention that these people can party!  With Dennis being a doctor and Leslie a pediatric nurse, and their friends being doctors, pulling long and late hours isn’t an issue.  I found out just how long the party would go.  Here’s a hint:  Till Closing.

What follows is a very abbreviated version of a fun and fantastic day.

Enjoy!

Adrienne + Neel

Well, I’m kind of happy that San Francisco weather is acting like its normal self again.  Too much sunshine in the winter is just plain silly up here.  But for taking photos, it’s pretty hard to beat.  I’m just glad it cooperated long enough for Adrienne, Neel, and I to get some great photos down by Crissy Field and the Marina District.

I had a fantastic day you two.  Thanks for being such great subjects!

Enjoy!

1, 2, 3… & Out The Door

Here’s a few photos from yesterday’s engagement session with Catherine and Jeremy.  They are my first of 15 engagement sessions from my crazy amazing Groupon style deal via The Wedding Channel. It was a damn fine day, and a damn good time.  Jeremy – sorry you had to miss the games – but you are clear for the Superbowl, so no worries.

OK, I am out the door and on a plane to San Diego for another engagement session, and then on to shoot some personal work.  I am testing a water housing and my fitness, as I will be swimming around with an amazing surfer who has agreed to try and get some shots.

1, 2, & 3…  Enjoy!

It's hard to beat the Golden Gate.

The end to a great day. Thanks you two!

More to come.

See you down the road.

Elliston Vineyards Wedding – Aaron + Yumi

When Jen and I returned home from the JET program (teaching English as second language)  years ago, we wondered when, where, and how our limited Japanese skills would come into play.  Turns out, a little “Yoroshuku Onegaishimasu” goes a long way, because that simple greeting led to greater things with Aaron and Yumi.

And it turns out, language brings people together on many levels – for it’s the reason that these two are together as well. Yumi decided to come over to the US and attend school. First she had to get her English skills up to par.  That’s where Aaron and his TOFL goodness came in, instructing Yumi on the finer points of our beloved language.  Today, they got hitched at Elliston Vineyards.

Sweet…

Yumi, waiting. Hit from above camera left with a shoot thru umbrella.

Bridebound Feature Article

Woo Hoo!  Got a nice interview and feature write-up in Bridebound, a blog about everything wedding related.  One of the creators, Meredith, found my site and thought my work and website was worthy of having a little spotlight.  I agree!

So head on over and check it out if you like.

Meredith, thanks for the love!

And Aaron and Yumi… don’t worry… you’re up next!

See you down the road.

Amy + Ryan

It’s been a busy few weeks.  Yes, the blog is a bit light of late, but I notice this trend throughout the “blog-o-sphere.” Seems people actually leave their houses and desks once in a while to get some fresh air, and enjoy time with friends and family.  I don’t think there’s any air I would rather smell than that of Lake Tahoe.

Amy's Dress = Amazingly Gorgeous

Majestic mountains, a big blue lake, and chill people make for some pretty good times, and the fact that Amy and Ryan happened to get hitched up there makes it pretty much perfect.
