It’s only fitting that a good looking and fun couple follow up Yukon’s post. I mean, it’s hard to compete with puppies, ya know…? Haha. We first met when I did a bridal show at the Ritz Carlton last January. Turns out they are getting married in Atlanta, but that’s still no reason not to get some great images. We had hopes of breaking into City Hall, but alas, there was a private event 😦
No matter, as we were perfectly happy to photograph on the outside as well.
On the steps of City Hall.
Tiffany has a lot of energy. I have 43 emails in my gmail of her and I going back and forth over such items as props, the dogs, the scooter, the weather, change of clothes, what to expect, time of session, etc. In the end, none of this mattered at all, as we had to deal with intermittent showers and dodgy weather at best. To boot, her make-up artist texted her and said she couldn’t make it – a few hours before the session. Man, that’s like breaking up over the phone. In Tiffany’s words, “Really, she should just have the balls to cancel straight-up.”
Barring all of those
ahhhhhhhh minor obstacles, we met at the Palace of Fine Arts for its big dome coverage. A safety play in the rain. But it was well worth it, cause the crowds were minimal and the light was pretty darn good. Like any good zen photographer, you have to accept what is there and not push it. Look for opportunities and ye shall be rewarded.
Good thing I brought the umbrella. It served us pretty well.
Here’s a few photos from yesterday’s engagement session with Catherine and Jeremy. They are my first of 15 engagement sessions from my crazy amazing Groupon style deal via The Wedding Channel. It was a damn fine day, and a damn good time. Jeremy – sorry you had to miss the games – but you are clear for the Superbowl, so no worries.
OK, I am out the door and on a plane to San Diego for another engagement session, and then on to shoot some personal work. I am testing a water housing and my fitness, as I will be swimming around with an amazing surfer who has agreed to try and get some shots.
1, 2, & 3… Enjoy!
It's hard to beat the Golden Gate.
Palace of Fine Arts.
The end to a great day. Thanks you two!
More to come.
See you down the road.
